Javier María López Rodríguez

Flautist, composer, musicologist, and teacher. Member of different groups related with improvisation and jazz music as the improvisation orchestra “O.M.E.GA” and “TDC” trio. He studied composition with José Luís de Delás. His works has been premiered by ensembles and groups as “Real Filharmonía de Galicia”, “Galicia XXI”, “Quinteto Pentafonía”, “Taller Atlántico Contemporáneo”, “Ensemble s21” “Grupo Instrumental Siglo XX”, or instrumentalists as Javier Simó, Pablo de Vigo, Eliseu Mera, Guido Arbonelli, Bruno Laurent or Etiene Rolin. He has composed music for several plays. In addition, some of his works were selected for the II and III “Intenational Meeting" of the "Temp'ora” association.

“Now-tilus” publisher published his “Breve Historia de la Música”. He has also wrote different essays or articles in magazines and journals as “Música y Educación”, “Relafare”, “Revista de la Lista Europea de Música en la Educación”, or “Anatomía de la Historia” among others. He has taught curses and didactic concerts related with the contemporary music. He obtained twice the first prize in “Constantino Bellón” composition contest. Second prize in the international music composition contest launched in Italy by “Gruppo Europeo Ricerca Musicale Independiente”. Finalist in the “Città di Udine” and in the ”Counterpoint-Italy's” 2014 as well.

Teacher of the speciality of “History of Music” in conservatoire curricula. Teacher of the speciality of “Music” in Secondary Level Education.
